Brampton Horticultural Society Photo Contest Rules 2026
- The Brampton Horticultural Society contest is open to all members of the Society.
- Photos must have been taken by the entrants and should not have been previously
submitted. - Entries are to be in colour, unless otherwise stated.
- All photos submitted should be 4” x 6”(including border if used). Cropping is
permitted and encouraged. - Both matt and gloss prints are permitted.
- Photographs should not be digitally altered, except for possible cropping, contrast,
brightness, and hue changes. Film and digital photos are accepted. - All photos will be judged on horticultural content.
- A maximum of two [2] entries in each category may be entered.
- Each entry must list the entrant’s name, phone number and class number on the back.
Also indicate the top of the photo with an arrow. - The print entries must be placed in an envelope marked “Brampton Horticultural
Society Photo Contest” and given to the Contest Conveners or member of the executive
prior to or at the March General Meeting, March 23, 2027. - Judging will be the responsibility of the Photographic Committee.
- The Judge’s decision will be final.
- Entries will be on display at the Annual Flower Show and the June meeting for
Viewer’s choice voting. - The 2026 Brampton Horticultural Society print classes are listed on the reverse of this
page. - The Wayne Winchester Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the Most Point Winner.
- Ribbons will be awarded for 1, 2 and 3 place. A Certificate for Viewers Choice stndrd
and a Certificate for Judges Choice will be awarded. - Although Care will be taken to avoid damaging the photographs, The Brampton
Horticultural Society can assume no responsibility for possible deterioration resulting
from mounting and displaying entries.
