A Gold Star \u2013 a design <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>NOVICE<\/strong> (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bramptonhort.org\/index.php\/march-2020-at-meeting\/#Note1\">Note 1<\/a>)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>11.   Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star \u2013 a small design (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bramptonhort.org\/index.php\/march-2020-at-meeting\/#Note5\">note 5<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>EDUCATIONAL<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>12.   The purpose of this category is to EDUCATE. Therefore, the exhibit must include a display card, which includes, at a minimum, the history, description and growing conditions required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This\ncategory can earn up to 5 points as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Quality of exhibit &#8211; 40%<\/li><li>Growing Conditions (sun, soil, water, etc.) &#8211; 20%<\/li><li>Description (height, spread, colour, etc.) &#8211; 20%<\/li><li>History (where did the species originate, how used,\netc.) &#8211; 20%<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Notes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a name=\"Note1\"><\/a>Note 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Novice Definition<\/strong> &#8211; an\nexhibitor who has yet to win three first place ribbons in the Decorative Design\ndivision in Standard shows (i.e. our annual show, District 15 AGM and\/or OHA\nconvention)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a name=\"Note5\"><\/a>Note 5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Small Design \u2013 <\/strong>a design from\n51\/2\u201d to 10\u201d and which must not exceed 10\u201d in height, width and depth,\nincluding any container, base, and\/or accessories.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>March 24, 2020 HORTICULTURAL: 2 entries permitted in all horticultural classes if different cultivars&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1.
